About This Product
The Flordahome Pear is good for Gulf Coast planting. It produces large, semi-hard pears that ripen in mid-summer. The pears are green and sweet, though slightly tart, and can be eaten fresh or canned. The Flordahome is leaf spot and fire blight resistant. It requires 150 chill hours. Hood or Pineapple Pear make good pollinators. At maturity, it can reach a height between 15 ft. to 20 ft. and a width of 12 ft. to 15 ft. It is hardy in USDA zones 7-9 and is shipped in a #5 pot with a minimum plant height of 24 inches.
