About This Product

Considered an heirloom tree， the Imoto Persimmon is a juicy， sweet， non-astringent fruit that has a mellow， cantaloupe-like flavor. Delicious fresh off the tree in the crisp stage or when allowed to soften. The Imoto persimmon tree has a smaller maturity height (average about 10 ft.-12 ft.) and the beautiful fall foliage makes Imoto a nice ornamental. Imoto Fuyu Asian persimmon is a selection that came from the late Mike Imoto of Lindsay， California. Imoto Fuyu is very similar to Jiro persimmons except that the fruit is a little larger and ripens 7-days to 10-days earlier， making it a good choice for cooler climates. We graft the Imoto Fuyu persimmon onto native American persimmon root stock.
