Flowerwood Compacta Japanese Holly (Ilex crenata 'Compacta') is a classic low-maintenance broad-leaf evergreen landscaping shrub with a mounded growing habit， that requires little pruning to maintain your desired shape. It is drought tolerant and deters certain pests such as deer. They are also great attractants to pollinators such as butterflies and hummingbirds. This Japanese Holly will mature to 4-5 feet tall by 4-5 feet wide and is an excellent choice for an evergreen hedge or border. The small rounded evergreen foliage responds well to trimming and shaping.
