About This Product

A southern favorite， Cleyera japonica is a broadleaf evergreen shrub that makes an excellent border， hedge， screen， or foundation plant. Its glossy new growth emerges with an attractive bronze tint before maturing to a deep lustrous green. In spring， white bell-shaped flowers open and emit a pleasant aroma before developing into reddish-black ornamental fruit.

Best grown in USDA hardiness zones 6-9， but will perform well in colder zones with proper winter protection
