It is a deep-green， medium-sized， evergreen shrub that holds its attractive color throughout the winter. It has a rounded habit that is nearly as tall as wide. Independence is recommended for use in formal plantings where a medium-sized， round plant is desired. Prune lightly in late Winter to early spring to maintain a uniform shape.
