About This Product

The Kelsey Dogwood is a very cold hardy and compact cultivar which sports the same vibrant colorful red stems as the larger Red Twig Dogwood. Its neat, rounded, and dwarfing size makes Kelsey an excellent choice for a low-maintenance, colorful and cold hardy shrub in commercial landscapes. Once the leaves drop for the season, you can count on this Dogwood variety to keep adding color to your garden all through the winter with its bright red stems. Like most dogwood bushes, Kelsey is highly tolerant of wet soils and is often planted accordingly for its erosion control capabilities. The Kelsey Dogwood Shrub lives most comfortably in USDA Cold Hardiness Zones 2-8 and reaches an equal height and width of 3 ft. For a compact and tidy shrub that brings a different shade of seasonal color year-round and is cold hardy down to -40°F, the Kelsey Dogwood is an excellent choice.
