About This Product
This very hardy, slow growing plant has a central trunk and stiff glossy featherlike leaves that resemble a fine textured palm. An ancient plant that has been around for nearly forever, it thrives in dry areas, is cold tolerant and is suitable for Sun or shade. The plant is not as prickly as other varieties and its eventual small stature of 3 ft. tall and wide is perfect for use as a specimen plant to accent a tropical garden, in mass plantings such as those that surround the trunk of a palm tree, in patio pots set around the pool, to line a walkway or simply near a mailbox. Easy to grow in a wide range of soils, easily adapts to full Sun or full shade, is drought tolerant once established and is cold hardy down to an occasional 30-deg F.
