About This Product

The Tropic Snow Peach produces super sweet and delectable white peaches for any home gardener! The tropic snow white peach tree is a freestone peach with melting flesh and a slightly tart mouthfeel taste. The actual fruit does carry a bit of fuzz on the outside and has low acid content. Fruit is medium-sized and just a tad smaller than the juicy peaches at the grocery store. This white peach tree ripens in summer and the fruit will be soft to the touch when it is ready to be picked.
  • All fruit trees should be planted in full sun with at least 6-8 hours of sunlight per day. Slightly acidic and well-draining soil is best and this variety should be grown in USDA growing zones 7-10 across the United States.
  • It has low chill hours, only 150-200 are required for the fruit set. It's been called the best white peach for the South and can grow as far south as the Keys!
  • The tropic snow peach tree size is 18 feet tall and 15 feet wide at full mature size. It's recommended to space the peach trees at least 10-15 feet apart. Prunus persica peach 'tropic snow' can be pruned to any desired size and shape that works best in your garden and for picking the fruit! If you decide not to prune it, it will make a lovely shade tree in your garden.
  • Thin out fruit in the first few years to encourage larger fruit size. Apply a slow-release fertilizer in early spring right when flower buds break to encourage a healthy growth structure.
  • The Tropical Snow Peach Tree is self fertile and does not need another pollinator nearby to produce fruit. That being said, having more than one peach variety will increase fruit load. Flowers blossom in spring for a summer harvest.
  • This white peach variety does not as a bare root tree. It is rooted with a full root system in a nursery pot. White fleshed peach trees are relatively pest and disease resistant.
  • Low-maintenance and easy to grow
  • Can be pruned after harvest
  • Best grown in USDA hardiness zones 7-10
  • Enhance your garden with vines and shrubs."
