About This Product

The Southern Living Plant Collection is proud to present to you the Loropetalum Emerald Snow. This is a Chinese Fringe Flower composed of evergreen foliage that remains dense and compact. With a mature height and width of 3 - 4 ft it remains much more manageable than most other Loropetalum shrubs while boasting fragrant， creamy white blooms in spring that will occasionally rebloom in the summer and fall seasons.
  • With a compact， mature size the Emerald Snow is much more manageable than other Loropetalum shrubs
  • Use the Chinese Fringe Flower as a specimen， foundation planting， hedge/screen or even as a container plant to accentuate entryways
  • Full sun to part shade lover that is easily grown in soil that is fertile， moist and well-draining. More sunlight will lead to more/healthier flowers and fuller foliage
  • Winter hardy in USDA zones 7-10. Provide winter protection to shelter from frost and cold winds
  • Very low maintenance plant once established. Requires little pruning except for the deadheading and optional shaping if you would like
  • Water twice per week until established. Once established watering can be reduced to an "as needed" basis based upon the soil. Once the top layer has become dry you can safely water again
  • Fertilize in spring with slow-release granular fertilizer
